Annual Function by Agrivarsity Scout Group

1. The Annual Function and Grand Camp Fire of Agrivarsity Scout Group Faisalabad was held on 18 - 19 March 2010 at Agriculture University, Faisalabad. Lt Gen Syed Parwez Shahid, HI (M), (Retd), Chief Commissioner, Pakistan Boy Scouts Association was the Chief Guest in the first session on 18th March, 2010 at a Grand Camp fire for female participants.

The Auditorium of the University was filled to its full capacity. The Chief Guest opened the Camp Fire. The Rovers of Agrivarsity Scout Group presented beautiful National songs, skits and parody. At the end of the Campfire, the worthy Chief Commissioner, PBSA addressed the audience and appreciated their enthusiasm and dedication. He also read out the message of Qauid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, delivered by the Quaid, at his investure ceremony as First Chief Scout Islamic Republic of Pakistan on 22nd December 1947. The Chief Commissioner, PBSA also apprised the female participants that they could as girls scout. On this, the female audience was highly delighted and expressed their joy with a big applause.

2. On 18th March at 2030hrs, the second session of Grand Camp Fire for male members was held in the auditorium. Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmed Khan, worthy Vice Chancellor, Agriculture University Faisalabad was the Guest of Honour. Both, the sessions were conducted and carried with grace, enthusiasm and jubilation. It was a treat to watch the sense of dedication, commitment and quality of performance of Rovers of Agrivarsity.

3. An exhibition / display of various models and training aids depicting the standards / quality of their Scouting. After the exhibition, a prize distribution ceremony was held at the Senate Hall of University. At the conclusion of Prize Distribution Ceremony, Lt Gen Syed Parwez Shahid, HI (M), (Retd), Chief Commissioner, PBSA addressed the Rovers, appreciated the work and declared as one of the best Rover Group of the Country. He then highlighted the major decisions taken and the announcements made by His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, the President / Chief Scout of Pakistan for further growth and promotion of Scouting in Pakistan; award of additional 10 marks to every bona fide / registered scout in his F.A / F.SC and I.Com Examination and adding a Chapter on Scouting in syllabus of class 1 to 12 to acquaint the youth with Scout movement and the spirit Scouting. 

4. The Chief Commissioner, PBSA hailed Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmed, worthy Vice Chancellor, and Patron in Chief, Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Patron, and Dr. Irfan Afzal for their efforts and dedication for promotion of Scouting at the university. He then thanked them for inviting him for the honour event. At the end, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, the Patron, thanked the Chief Guest.

5. Lt Col Hashmat Abbas (Retd), National Secretary, PBSA, Mr. Muhammad Shoaib International Commissioner, PBSA and Mr. Abuzar Mansoor, Acting Director Training & Programme also  accompanied the Chief Commissioner.
