Intervarsity Rovering Competition

Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan organized Intervarsity Rovering Championship every year. International Islamic University hosted the event this year 2010 on behalf of HEC. Mr. Manzoor Hussain Shah, Senior Scout Leader was the organizing Secretary. Rover Scouts from Agriculture University Faisalabad, Bahauddin Zakaria University, Multan, Govt College University Lahore, Punjab University Lahore, International Islamic University Islamabad, Quaid-e- Azam University Islamabad, Engineering University Taxila and Karachi University participated in the competitions organized by National Headquarters, PBSA. Mr. Abuzar Mansoor, Director Training & Programme, PBSA, Mr. Zahid Mahboob, Dy. Secretary, PBSA and Mr. Jameel, Scout Leader, NHQ were invited to judge the performance of rovers in several competitions.

Camp Inspection, Cooking, Quiz, Campfire, First Aid were the main competitive activities. Agriculture University declared as champion while Bahauddin Zakaria University got 2nd Position and Government College Lahore got the 3rd Position.

Mr. Tallat Khursheed, Director General Sports HEC was the Chief Guest in the Closing Ceremony. He assured his full cooperation for introducing Scouting in other universities of Pakistan. He also presented the awards to the winners.
